update on the editing

So far we have finished editing most of the important parts of our music video, however, we still have a few gaps to fill (the chorus). Instead of using actual video footage for the chorus parts, we're going to use word effects i.e. ' All of The Lights', but we'll see.

Finding our actors 
Finding our actors wasn't very difficult at all, however, we had to keep in mind to get actors who not only fitted the characters/role but were also willing to volunteer for us. In the end decided to use students from our school because it was a lot easier and convenient. At some point, during the first few weeks of starting our filming, Bunmi (who is no longer part of this group), shot an argument between a heterosexual couple. Unfortunately, the setting/shots used didn't fit well into our video so we decided to cut it out. 

For the first part of the video, we decided to pick Fatiat to play the character because we had to get someone who was willing to step out of their comfort zone and go crazy on camera. For the middle chunk of our video we used Makeda and Daniel to play a troubled couple. I think we made a good decision for picking them because I personally thought their phone argument was very convincing. And lastly, we decided to get two girls from our school to play a lesbian couple, instead of a heterosexual couple. Also, this song is supposed to be a love song so I thought it would be good to portray all kinds of relationships that teenagers have. All the actors did a great job!

update 7

Good news, we managed to retrieve our lost footage. Now all we have to do is finish editing since our deadline is on Monday (today is thursday).
Another thing we have to do is figure out how we're going to do the chorus. We're still sticking with the ' All Of The Lights' idea with the lyrics on the screen, although we might use random backgrounds (clouds, brick wall) instead of a plain one.

Update 6

So far we have started editing some footage. However, we have encountered an issue with the macbook. We unexpectedly lost some of our work while we were editing, so now we have no choice but to do it again. We are now trying to edit and film as we go along as we still have two scenes we have to film. One scene involves a lesbian couple arguing, the other sequence involves the main singer, Memmunatu, walking and singing along.
